I have been using the traditional long airlock fermenting lids / tubes before so I decided to give it a try. I consider myself as very knowledgeable about fermenting hence never had any problem with long tube air locks . Unfortunately almost 8 pound of cucumbers are wasted because of these ridiculous lids. See the pictures for detailes. I used weights on my cucumber, I know how much salt was the ideal for the weight, I used very clean jars and equipment, everything was still under the brine when I opened the lids. So there is no way it was caused because of me. 5 jars was all the same. Not even one jars of cucumber was ok. Everything looked slimy with faul odour. Will return.
