I am currently a soldier in the US Army and the products I purchase are mainly used on the field as I need them to effectively work to do my duties overseas. My review is solely based on the products effectiveness and durability. As I returned on leave I purchased this product and tried it hoping I could take it back with me on duty and have a reliable device to charge my things while on patrol. I received this product and immediately rushed to my backyard to test it out. It is a clear sky and full sunny day. • My Ipad 2 when I plugged it into the device recognized and showed it was charging, after 20 minutes of direct sunlight the Ipad went from 40% to 44%. This is acceptable • My Ipad 3 when I plugged it into the device did not recognize it and so did not receive any charge. • My Note3 cell phone when I plugged it into the device recognized it but after about an hour and several tries checking the charging cable and the suns position still had no charge what so ever. I checked the charging cable with my car usb plug and immediately started to charge the device. • In conclusion, this device is a NO GO for me. I need a durable and reliable product. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: I am now editing my review for the following reasons: I have been contacted now at least 5 times via email from X-DRAGON asking to please change my review because the negative is hurting them. I will do no such thing for the following reasons: 1. Honesty is the only option, anything else is wrong. 2. This product advertises a 20W output which is not only misleading but a straight out lie and deceptive to customers 4. This product was made with cost effectiveness in mind, which is why it can only offer flimsy hanging loops that will break off in time, if they wanted to produce a product well made with the customer in mind they would have spent more money and made proper hanging metal rings like the Anker Solar charger has. 5. This product will only charge effectively in direct sunlight, don’t believe anything else said. The Anker 14W charges my devices even in cloudy days 6. This product even though is inferior to others on the market is being sold for more money, with a slashed price of $149.99 and advertised for $56.99 is a complete rip off to everyone. If they cared about the customer their price would be comparable to the devices capabilities and it would probably be in the range of $29.99, and even at that price I would not purchase it. 7. The fact that they have contacted me over and over asking me to change my review leads me to believe that it has happened now many times and so most of the reviews for this product are not accurate due to buyers feeling bad and adjusting their reviews later. In conclusion not only is this product inferior and offering misleading information but I now see that this behavior of misleading and false advertising runs within the company itself. This is one of the reasons our country is the way it is, greed: (Intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food) It makes me very sad to know I fight for freedom while others in our own country are tearing it apart.
