Not as it appears
Let's call this an initial review. I like the idea of buying a product where a significant portion of it is made in the U.S. however I just finished putting this topper on the bed and unfortunately the nice zippered cover that is shown in the images for this product IS NOT WHAT YOU RECEIVE. Instead it's a cheaper elastic pull over cover like most any mattress pad. It is still 2" of blue gel foam and 2" pillow top cover but don't expect to receive one with a zipper for easy removal. Additionally the warranty statement indicates only 10 years not the 20 years shown in the big bold graphic and text on the product listing. The foam expanded to full size in a few hours and has very little chemical smell. We'll see how it sleeps and then I'll update this review. With the product listing and images not being accurate I'm not so sure the few (5) customer reviews to date are either. Similar comments to mine can be found in reviews on sites for large "mart" stores that sell this product as well. UPDATE: July 30, 2014 After almost a year of sleeping on this topper it's been okay. It has flattened out and is not nearly as plush as it was. The cotton cover is basically flat, no amount of washing, drying, fluffing whatever will restore it. The foam I have rotated about every three months to equalize wear and it's going flat as well. Based on the terms in the warranty there is no coverage for that, this is "normal behavior" and not covered under warranty. I see they are still using the product image that shows the 2" quilted cover is zippered - REALLY FOLKS? - THERE IS NO DAMN ZIPPER ON THE COVER. The warranty statement is also incorrect, it's only 10 years not 20 as shown in the product description. Your team in charge of marketing on Amazon should be fired for false advertising. This was reported to Amazon as well last year but they of course don't give a damn. If you buy it, good luck. Don't expect to get all that is being advertised.
