This is anything but memory foam. You may like it and feel it comfortable to your taste but it's not viscoelastic memory foam. It the kind of foam used for upholstery, which I did not mind because that's exactly what I used it for, to replace the old foam on my sofa cushions. Upholstery foam is a little cheaper. I went ahead and used it because was already here and had already removed the cover and the flame retardant. Just so you know.
