My 67-pound dog gets diarrhea every now and then when I sneak him some salty table scraps. Unfortunately I have to work during the day so I can't walk him more frequently than every 3.5-4 hours. So when it happens, I need something that is fast acting so I'm not spending my free hours scrubbing it out of the carpet when I get home (as joyful and rewarding as that may be). When it happened this time, I gave him two tablespoons of this stuff. 6 hours and 3 walks later, he's still shooting like a fire hose with no signs of getting better. I gave him another three tablespoons. Another 6 hours and 3 walks later, zero change. He's still blasting off like a space shuttle and curled up in his chair (see first picture). What worked before, and what ended up working this time, is 70 mL of Pepto Bismol (see second picture). I know the AKC and my vet say to use it sparingly, but at least it works after the first dose and within 3 hours. When the situation is not that bad, boiled chicken and steamed white rice fix him up too. Sometimes I think he gets the runs just so he can get that meal. Either way, I returned this for a refund.
