Thanks UPDATE: The seller has sent me several emails offering me money to remove or amend my review. Seems like selling faulty toasters Is not their only morally bankrupt practice. The toaster is not the pretty aqua/turquoise color in the pic, it's more of a pale powder blue. That in itself was disappointing, but not a huge deal. The first time I used it, the toast was perfect, but the toaster itself was dangerously hot - like had to be set way away from anything to be used and keep the children/pets well away. The second time I used it, I noticed the toast was darker on one side of each piece and again with the burn your hands heat from the actual appliance. The third and final time I used it I decided to make a single piece of toast. When the toaster started smokinh, I pressed the cancel button which did absolutely nothing, then tried pushing up on the lever which also did nothing. I finally ended up unplugging it and letting it cool off before trying to lift the lever again to eject my still smoldering piece of charcoal. I could forgive the color issue and could work with the possibility of burning myself on the outside of the toaster, but the fire threat was the last straw. I cleaned it, packaged it back up and sent it back. Highly UNrecommended product.
