Initially I loved the Ninja Coffee Bar. My love affair lasted about 10 days. Then the clean light came on. I purchased cleaning solution and followed the instructions. The light went out for a few days, then back on. I cleaned it again. The same thing happened. I ignored it, but after only a few more days use, it stopped working. I called Ninja and the representative said the coffee pot is detecting calcium. I explained that this must not be true because I cleaned it once with water only; not a descaling solution and the same thing happened. I don't believe the coffee pot is collecting calcium in that short of time when I don't have hard water. I have cleaned my unit about every 10 days and it's an hour long process. I asked if others have called with the same complaint and she said no. She told me to call back with a number on the plug and they'd give me cleaning instructions other than the ones in the user manual. In the meantime, I researched it and found that this a big problem with these coffee pots. There a lot of complaints about them. I called back and was told that they can ship me another base for $20 but if that has the same problem, they can't do anything about it. They said I can just leave the light on and it will make coffee, but mine will only allow me to do that for a couple days. The coffee pot was $229 and I'm going to throw it in the trash. VERY disappointed!
