THIS IS AN ADDENDUM TO THE REVIEW WRITTEN & POSTED BELOW - THE COMPANY IS CONTACTING ME CONTINUALLY - 3 YEARS LATER - TO ASK ME TO CHANGE MY REVIEW AND OFFERING A REFUND. WHEN THEY FIRST STARTED CONTACTING ME I FORWARD THEIR EMAILS TO AMAZON. FOR A WHILE THEY STOPPED; NOW STARTING AGAIN. WONDERING ABOUT THE VALIDITY OF THIS SELLER - NOT UP TO ME TO DECIDE - SUGGEST AMAZON RESEARCH FURTHER. Plugged this in once and followed poorly-written directions. After many attempts was able to turn it on. Alleged controls do not allow any change in temperature beyond the defaulted to 380 degrees F. Only way to turn flat iron off is to unplug it. After 3 uses, cannot turn it on. Wish I still had the packaging, would have returned. If the alleged controls worked it would be OK. Wonder if this is a factory reject.
