I bought these with the Boon Pipes Water Pipes Bath Toy for my 2 and 5 year olds, since they are shown together in the product descriptions. First, I did not realize that this only comes with one water wheel type gear, so my plan to split the gears between my two children won't work. Even more disappointingly, these do not work well with the pipes. Most of the pipes do not let enough water through to power the water wheel, and the wheel sits further off the wall than the pipes do, so the water from the pipes is nearly impossible to aim into the water wheel. This results in some very frustrated kids. My advice is to get the pipes but skip the cogs.
