This review is for an 8TB Exos. According to the drive's serial number, this 8TB Exos is not under warranty by Seagate, yet the description says it has a 5yr warranty. False advertising. Also, Amazon gets one star for their support. The customer support kept telling me to contact manufacturer, Seagate, even though I told them Seagate will not support this drive since it is an OEM version. Quick update. this review pertains only to the drive purchased from this particular seller, SabrePC. I received an email from them claiming the warranty is through them. I wish this was stated in the description. I found an identical drive sold directly by Amazon, and that drive has a legit 5yr warranty from Seagate. That drive is a bit more expensive ($209) but I rather have the warranty through Seagate.
