★★☆☆☆
Light hearted story that needs serious editing
I was really looking forward to reading this book which promised to be lighthearted and fun, but was sadly disappointed. Don't get me wrong -- the premise of a woman whose Ponzi scheming husband tosses her aside as much as his poor investors is a great one, and the main character was engaging but the fact that the poor people who'd been cheated of their life savings came to her aid with barely a cold shoulder was a bit unbelievable, coupled with the fact that nothing seems to affect her greatly, not even seeing the dead body of her ex or relating her own tragic family history. The book needs serious editing RE grammar, syntax, and spelling errors, as well as how a murder investigation is handled. Also, FBI employees are "agents" or "field agents" and, I guarantee, not chatty people who let civilians help them solve murders! (They also do not work part time, or keep a pocket full of "police stickers"...) Hoping the author hires professional help to correct the Kindle version. The book could be a fun summer read and has potential as a series but the myriad mistakes will drive away readers from wanting to read anything else by this author, myself included.
