This bottle worked great at first. But after 6 months of normal use, it started leaking. I checked the bottle and found that the blue gasket inside the cap is cracked. I'll upload a photo if I can find out how to. I contacted thermos' customer service at consumer.service@thermos.com. They replied that removable parts are not covered under the warranty after 30 days, which is ridiculous. If they expect that the gasket would probably fail after 30 days and make the whole bottle useless, what's the point of them offering 5-year warranty on the body of the bottle? They do sell the gaskets for $1 each plus S/H but I have yet to find out how much the S/H would be. There's no way you can find a replacement gasket unless you contact their customer service department. I think I won't be the first or the last person to have this problem. Why wouldn't they make this easier and sell the gaskets separately on their website as accessories? Also I think this is definitely a design flaw or quality glitch. I expected better products from a name brand like Thermos. Edit: finally found out how to add the photo.
