These do NOT look like the fabric in the pictures. I'm an interior designer, so perhaps pickier than most people as I deal a lot with fabrics and finishing looks. Against my better judgement I purchased these for a large window in a home office, primarily to save money. I wanted a linen look (meaning a slightly textured, woven looking fabric), but real linen costs about double the price. The picture they post makes it look like they would have had some texture to them, as linen does, especially the name "Belgian flax" is associated with a specific color and type of linen. But they do not look like the fabric in the picture AT ALL. These are a slightly shiny polyester, and look like it. :( The fabric is smooth (almost silky) and cheap looking. They are definitely not as nice as the pic. The backing is white, so it filters light, but definitely doesn't block it. The mechanism and install is easy and works well, no complaints there. That part seems well made for the price point. Just be aware that, at least to a design eye, these look very cheap. It's best if you're using them where they'll be viewed at a distance, not up close.
