I bought Braun Electric Razor for Men, Series 9 9390cc, for my husband as valentine's day 2020 gift because that is what my husband said he wanted. We didn't get it until early March. Every time we go to Costco he was always checking out the Braun Series 8 which is the only series they have at Costco. So on V-day I asked him if I should get him the Razor he has been checking out he said yes but he is skeptical because the price is too high and it might not perform well compare to his current $50 razor. The Series 9 is almost double the price of the 8 but its my husband's gift so I wanted to impress. Alas! his skepticism was proven true. He has been complaining and not happy with the performance at all. Aesthetically the razor is a beautiful design. For travel, it is perfect for travel. The battery life is good as well. But what is the point of all that those feature if the razor can't do the one thing that a razor is meant for, CLEAN SHAVE. It's like having a phone that can't make a call. My husband has been unable to get a single clean shave since we got this razor. He thought that maybe he just need to break it in and get his skin use to it but no success. After 3 weeks he abandoned it and went back to his $50 razor. I am so pissed that I spent over $300+ on this piss of aesthetically beautiful nonsense. Now the razor is back it's box and just a decoration on our shelve. Not sure if it is returnable. Braun needs to get their engineers to focus more on performance than design. It takes almost 15 minutes to get a descent shave which is too long especially when you are in need of a quick clean shave before a meeting. If you are getting this product just know that you are getting a very expensive aesthetically beautiful piece garbage that can't give a sign clean shave.
