I like this mattress cover because it's designed to keep dust mites at bay and that the top portion is organic cotton. It's a nice thickness…not overly plush, but definitely has some fill to it. It's great for our firm twin mattress for our 3-year old. However, I was kind of bummed to read what's really in the mattress cover. It's not what I thought. All of the materials used are not listed on Amazon or the Aller-Ease website. Here are the materials listed directly on the tag on our mattress pad… Top Fabric - 100% cotton Top and Bottom of Quilt - 100% polyester Sides - 100% polyester Bottom Fabric: 100% Polypropylene with Thermoplastic Polyurethane Fill - 100% Polyester Fiber Batting Made in China 10/9/17 - UPDATE - We have washed the mattress pad about 10 times in the past few years since we bought it. I dry it partially on low, then hang dry. The underside has deteriorated and looks extremely worn and cheap. My son wet the bed once and his expensive organic mattress got wet and smells like pee. I do not recommend this product. I will be purchasing the Naturepedic Organic Waterproof Fitted Stretch Knit Protector Pad for twice the price. My friend said it has never leaked and has been worth every penny - plus the waterproof layer isn't toxic like the AllerEase one.
