No wonder the manufacturing jobs went over seas.
The wife said, "hey I found a shelving unit to organize the shed for $26, want me to get it"? I thought sure, what could go wrong. The answer to this was everything. First off the box it was shipped in was almost twice as wide and twice as deep. The only protective wrapping to ensure it didn't get thrown around the box during shipping like a toddler on a mustang was a single 5' piece of craft paper. Assembling it was a pain in the ass as well. Half the holes don't line up, shelves were bent and had to be hammered to even get the nut on the bolt. The paint job was god awful as well. I can only assume Stevie Wonder is the only person over quality control and he just eyeballs everything. I followed the instructions exactly, and when I lifted it up I knew everything about this was terrible. This shelving unit is more unstable than Amanda Bynes. The only thing that angers me more than the hour I spent putting this amazing example of American engineering together is the fact that I have to disassemble it in order to ship it back and get a refund. I guess when something says, "made in America", I should assume it was made in some guys backyard out of aluminium foil, a hole punch, some rusty sheet metal, and spray paint that is half used on the product and half inhaled to get through another day of making this crap.
