like most are saying.....you DO NOT get any sort of statement credit. I went round and round with amazon customer service and they had no idea what I was talking. told me to call discover and they would give me the money. obviously its not that easy. needless to say, discover said my account "wasn't eligible". they had no information as to why. amazon is clueless. this is a good card for cashback. I do enjoy the card. but do not expect to get a statement credit or any sort of compensation. I will be contacting the some higher ups to report this bait and switch behavior. its against the law to be told one thing and then not disclose the reason for denying someone the promotion. I had ZERO problems with the amazon credit card from visa (not the store card). I recommend you get that one instead. its also a great rewards card and I received my credit right away.
