Poorly managed, needs to be way more upfront about the value after taxes.
There are a lot of problems with Amazon Coins. First and foremost, you can't rely on Amazon Coins to have the same price day to day. For a brief moment you'll find the neckbeards of Reddit claim that the price of coins is $79 for 10000. By the time you get home it's $85. The next day it's $89. Then it's $92. At that point, you don't get any benefit out of the coins anymore because of taxes. Consistency is important to consumers. Amazon Coins boast having special deals, but the customers don't get notifications of the deals, ever. There's no alert system, there's no price alerts for when coins go down in price. Simply put, Amazon has abandoned it's product in a very immature state. It could be a lot more sophisticated, and useful. Let Amazon customers set up price alerts, let them get notifications about which promotions are running for games that they downloaded. Finally: why does anyone have to pay tax on an in game purchase, when we don't actually own any of these purchases. We are merely using them until the game makers render those items obsolete, and then we can't transfer them. This taxation is a failure of Amazon to understand the industry, their own product, the customer, and even the government idiots who could have been bought off with a a big mac and cup of coke.
