This product may be great for short haired dogs but not so much for dogs that have any thickness to their fur. I have a German Shepherd. After 3 attempts to bath her with this machine I gave up. The water never reached the skin. She is a herding dog that runs out in the mud and muck frequently. Yet I never got more than a slight discoloration of the "dirty" water. No evidence of cleaning her. The clean water is sucked into the dirty water reservoir almost as quickly as it sprays out, "cleaning" only the tips of the hair. This product is definitely not for dogs with long and/or thick hair even though it advertises as it is. The machine is easy to set up and easy to use. It is a bit messy but a towel under the dog works fine. It does make some noise but was not disturbing. You do have to stop frequently (almost every pass) to clean hair from the suction nozzle. The dirty water tank holds only about a quart of water. I had to stop the process to empty the dirty water reservoir 4 times per bath. This item is being returned.
