Disappointing. Color and style is great but, performance is low. I had read that the whistle doesn't work (agreed- it doesn't) but, I didn't care much b/c I never used the whistle on my old teapot. I'm usually doing other things in the kitchen so when I see the steam form, use this to remove the pot from the stove. The WORST part of this pot however, is that the top over the spout MELTED. Yep- completely melted and looks like burnt plastic running off of the tip. Being that this is a teapot, intended to be on a stove, heating boiling water, it's very unclear to me how you would choose a plastic material with lower melting temperature. My old teapot lasted 12 years. This one hasn't even made it 2 months.
