I wanted to let everyone know this kettle has glass walls but inside has metal bottom and plastic seal around. There are misleading reviews saying otherwise. I did buy this based on assumption that it was all glass. It does work well but I have used it only a few times. I can see this having the same problems as other kettle with rust down the road due to the metal bottom. Another thought does anyone know what metal is inside kettle.? I added a photo for everyone to see the inside. I don't expect a product to last forever but I am concerned about chemicals from the sealant inside where water is heated and boiled leaching in the water. Does the product work well - yes but am was looking for glass . The product after boiling twice like instructions states still smell like plastic / chemical inside.
