Originally I gave this iron a 5 star review steam is AMAZING, but less than a year and a half later it started leaking, not a little bit , but a lot Hot water would come out from where the cord goes into the iron at and would scald my legs. I contacted Rowenta about it and basically was told, sorry, but you're out of warranty. I took very good care of this iron, did the self cleaning and emptied the water when not in use. I paid a lot for this iron, more than what it's going for now. I will NEVER buy another Rowenta product. I'm just sick about this. I thought I was buying something from a good company, but I was wrong. Another issue if you're a quiltmaker this is not a good iron because when ironing large pieces of fabric it thinks it's been knocked over and shuts off and it doesn't have a long idle time before it shuts off, so when piecing you have to constantly "wake" it back up.
