I was excited to get my NuWave Brio 6 Quart Air Fryer. Cooks wonderful, that is the good news. Now for all the very bad news. The machine had a dent in the basket right out of the box. I asked for a replacement part for the basket. No, they didn't guarantee it wouldn't have dents. Okay, it was cosmetic, so I kept it. Then another week later, I noticed that the inside fryer basket coating was chipping. It said dishwasher safe. Once again, I filed a complaint, and they did send me a replacement. Okay, I will wash it by hand I thought. The following week later, I pressed the start button but it wouldn't start. However, after trying a few times, it did start and I thought it was just a glitch. The following day, I prepared to start cooking, and pressed start PREHEAT to get started and I heard all sorts of noises. Then I smelled electrical wire and plastic smell, and all of a sudden my machine was streaming smoke. The machine is just a few weeks old. YIKES. Once again, I filed a complaint and they were very responsive. They are sending me a replacement. I hope this is not a lemon model which would be very disappointing. I do like cooking in it though. Here's hoping it works out. Hope others are not experiencing this. By the way, you cannot purchase replacements parts. They are not available. That surprised me.
