I am so disappointed, I really needed this to work. The item "works" just not well enough to stop my cat from bolting out the door. The beep warning is too long and he just runs past before he gets shocked. If it could just shock immediately it might be workable. Also, I tested the shock on my own hand, while I find it's a bit of a jolt, I think the cats fur does not allow him to feel the full shock, he will just sit and scratch his neck like it's tingly. The photo attached is of my cat with the collar on and working, still trying to get out the door. Again, I really wanted this to work, so it's hard for me to write this review. Yes, I had the collar on tight enough and the barrier at full zone, and since the family already thinks this is cruel, they are absolutely against shaving an area on his neck to get a better connection.
