I recently purchased this beeswax because of the high star rating and because a lot of the reviews were very positive. With that said, I am extremely disappointed with this product for one very important reason...It smells terrible! The wax seems to be just fine, but the smell is disgusting. It stunk up my kitchen when I melted it down and no matter how much essential oils I added to my balms made from this wax, I just couldn't cover up it's gross smell. The wax smelled horrific when I opened up the package but I naïvely thought that it would "go" away once I made my scented balms. Boy was I wrong! This wax smells of a cross between a dirty ashtray, chemicals and some kind of burnt rubber or plastic. When I smell it, it makes me want to vomit. Completely disgusting. I will never buy this product again and I would highly discourage anyone else from purchasing it as well. Very disappointing.
