I gave this 1 star because I could not finish it. I honestly don’t see how this has high ratings. Our hero Kula mates Ellie to save her life. Unfortunately kula is not allowed to take a mate because he is in service to “The Council”. As punishment Kula is horribly tortured and scared on his face. Three pages after this happens, Ellie throws a toddler size temper tantrum because she wants to wear a scandalous outfit that allows he boobs to hang out for all to see and Kula being the Alpha male he is does not want other guys to see her chest. So on top of everything he endured for her, she treats him like garbage, whines and throws him out of her room. And this happens throughout the whole whole first half the the book. Ellie is whinny, immature, childish and has absolutely no redeeming qualities. If there’s one thing I can’t stand in a book, it’s when bratty women treat good men like garbage. Read at you own risk. I do not recommend.
