These are sub-par, but you get what you pay for. They are not as good as higher priced inserts. They don't fill a 26x26 sham and are lumpy. You can make them work, which is what I did for some extra shams that I didn't want to spend a lot of money on. UPDATE: Honestly, after having them for a little while, these pillows drive me crazy every time I look at them. They look sloppy. I don't think a smaller sham will solve the problem. I have now posted photos showing the comparison to a nicer pillow that I have had since before purchasing this one. They are both labeled as 26x26, and I put each pillow in the same pair of 26x26 shams to show how they look side by side. Here is a description: 1. Lumpy 2. Corners of the pillows are not filled out and sag 3. Does not fill a 26x26 sham 4. They were shipped 3 pillows crammed into too small of a box, which may have royally messed up the pillows if they were not this way from the start I have repeatedly tried to manipulate the filling to smooth out the lumps and move some into the corners so the pillow will fill out the sham better, but it cannot be done.
