This is not the original I had before. I needed to replace my broken and shattered mirror immediately since nothing else lets me see up close like this mirror. I certainly don't want weird old lady whiskers and, God knows what, on my face. The original mirror was so wonderful. I could see every detail, every pore, and every hair on my face. I'm 61 and now wear glasses. I don't wear them while using the mirror as the mirror's magnification is strong enough and doing otherwise makes things blurry. In getting ready to order a new mirror, I saw the company had changed the lightbulb from a Type 55 replaceable bulb (they supply an extra bulb when you order the mirror - you'll never use it - the bulb lasts forever) to a permanent LED bulb. I called the company directly about the change and tried to get some feedback as far as which to order from Amazon. (Amazon still sells the original, although it's more expensive now.) The crabby lady at Floxite was no help... she wasn't even aware they had changed the mirror. So thinking the LED would be brighter, I decided to order the new model. This was a mistake! I can't see detail like I could with the (incandescent lit?) original. Things are too shiny, black hairs turn transparent, etc. I tried to like it so as not to deal with the hassle of returning it, but it's going back. Why do companies change a good product? I've reordered, but this time I'm getting the original, in spite of the cost, with the Type # 55 lightbulb, FL-615, and NOT the new version, FL-615-2, with LED lighting. I'm telling you, it makes all the difference!
