I cannot comprehend the positive reviews of this horrible product. I followed the Cooks Illustrated directions EXACTLY and all looked good after the very long seasoning process. But upon using on the stovetop, small pieces of black matter started showing up in what I was cooking. So I stopped cooking and put the pan under running water and used a paper towel to gently wipe the surface and CHUNKS OF BLACK MATTER began coming off. WHAT??!! I've seasoned pans in the past not using the product without fail. Also, this product was not advertised as NOT FOOD GRADE but when it arrived that's what it said on the bottle. I should have immediately returned it since I would be using it for a pan and cooking food in it. This is a sham product. I decided to remove the horrible "seasoning" and begin again with a completely different seasoning but couldn't get it all off. So now I have to buy a new Lodge cast iron. See attached photo.
