Description for this item did not show the slope or angle, which is far too steep for an average bed or an average couch. It may work with a lower futon for your smaller pets. Average bed the angle is too steep for small dogs and possibly a larger dog as it is straight up. Futon on a frame is also too steep of an angle. So this may only work for a couch. Might be ok for a vehicle, but it weighs about 7 pounds and is bulky. Heavy duty plastic has a “grip tape” on the surface that feels like sandpaper which may not be good for feet. Little heavier than we wanted, would do better with adjustable or stairs for space saving. Pictured is an average bed and futon on a frame.
