Horrible reaction
Incredibly embarassed to post this, but this happens after I fill my lashes with this glue. I'm a lash tech in training, making sure I'm precise and staying 1mm away, so I haven't ruled out how this happens. I believe its an allergic reaction, and my eyelids get Incredibly itchy and swollen along with waking up to this mess, eyes crusted shut. I read that the cyanoacrylates cause this (fast drying adhesive) when exposed to the skin, when I do my best (I mean it) to not touch my skin. I've been lashing for 6 months now. This glue does dry super quick, but I dont think my eyes swelling up, itching and crusting shut overnight are worth it. I seen other reviews say itching/watering eyes and all out not a good time, so now I know it's not just me and its not just them. Now I have to wear falsies until I figure it out and postpone my next lash training session because this is incredibly embarassing. Atleast I'm my own client, I couldn't imagine causing someone else these troubles. Here's a timeline, its happened 3 times First time- I thought I had seasonal allergies, that I've never had before. I'm not allergy prone. But everyone changes, so I stuck through it. Lashes all fell off within a week Second time- I thought allergies struck again. I held off on the horrendous itching, lashes fell off in less then 2 weeks. I stayed up all night fighting my eyes crusting while reading all the negative reviews and felt for all these women going through the same thing. I wear contact lenses, so I changed my contacts thinking maybe it was my contacts. Third- last night when I filled, and woke up 8 hours later to crusted eyes, ruling out that its NOT allergies and just this glue and me reacting to it. I use LyonLash to clean my lids, micellar water and a mix my tech has given me when she started doing my lashes a year ago, and gave me another bottle when I purchased training sessions. She gives all her clients that mix. I can't rule out anything but the glue. Sorry StacyLash, your product is a no go for me anymore. I know it says "not for DIY" this isn't DIY. I will be licensed and certified one day, but I'm super thankful I did this to myself and not a client. I will stop using before it costs me a hospital trip and my eyesight. Maybe the "sensitive" line will do me good, but I want an ingredient comparison to rule out what's so "sensitive" about it.
