Please do not buy this shelf for kids or for any household!! I was eyeing this shelf for our newborn daughter’s nursery and decided to get it for the corner for organizing her books and Knick knacks. When my husband took it out of the box, the smell of chemicals and spray paint was overwhelming but he put it together in hopes it would air out. When it was finished, I found a sticker with a warning that the furniture contains formaldehyde and can cause cancer. I immediately told my husband to take it out of the nursery. There’s absolutely no warning on the description until you buy it, open it and put it together. I refuse to have this item with a warning sticker near us! Beware!
