These are made in China and as often is the case are not the real thing. They feel funny from the moment you touch them. The outside is a thin shell of metal, probably stainless steel, but the inside and the bottom are plastic. The plastic resembles stainless steel, there is nothing on the bottom to indicate what type of plastic. There are little stickers saying made in China, but nothing else. I personally hate plastic kitchen ware, especially cups and dishes. The product description is simply deceptive, these are not stainless steel, but plastic with a partial stainless steel metal shell. I have had these cups for a couple of weeks and I am now giving them away. The plastic inside smells really bad and I am sure that can't possibly be good.
