This pump is very frustrating. It often needs coaxing to get it primed. Normally, you can move your dry pump from the pool deck onto the pool cover and it will start pumping right away. However, this pump OFTEN fails to prime. This means you can hear it turn on when the float activates it, but it fails to actually pump water. So you have to lift it from the water and try again. It's kind of bulky to move around. After about 3 to 6 attempts... just when you're about to smash it into a hundred pieces on your pool deck, it starts working. When it works, it's great. I'd rather this thing just didn't work at all because then I'd stop letting it get the best of me, and just get a better one. I feel like I'm in an unhealthy relationship where I know I need to break up, but I keep getting sucked back in.
