You are being duped.
The marketing is great. Big words about being organic, super fruit this, healthy fat that. Right. The nutrient content of most packets is astoundingly low for the calorie count, far less than you'd get from simply eating a handful of nuts and berries. The fruit-based packets taste pretty good, but you need to understand what you're getting: a sugar bomb. This is offset somewhat if you have some healthy protein with it, which you should not be fooled as being the 5-8g that's inside. With the sugar content and purpose of these packets, the protein should be 12-14g. What really gets me are the nut varieties. First of all, it certainly doesn't taste like nut butter was added. It tastes more like "nut substitute" or probably some sort of hyper processed nut powder. It simply tastes old and gnarly, like you are eating dead food. Next, with all the marketing hype about these being healthy, they are using the most bogus nut of all: the peanut. For the outrageous price of these, they could have used a better nut, like almonds or walnuts. Had to squeeze a few more cents per pack into their bank account, I guess. Also don't be fooled by the veggie claim. Apart from sweet potato and beets, which there are very little of in the packets that include them, you're pretty much getting sugar/fruit. These aren't blended with spinach/kale/broccoli, etc. So I say you're being duped, and at great expense. Noka should sell aluminum siding and dictionaries as well.
