See update at bottom for change to one star. There are six kids in our family and we needed something for our dirty laundry. We have had these for three months now and the six hampers we purchased are holding up fine and are well made. The hampers are unobtrusive, look good, and work much better than the plastic clothes baskets we had been using. They have a smaller footprint, yet they hold more than the standard issues plastic laundry baskets. We are very happy with these laundry hampers. Update 3/20/2016 After a flood in in our laundry room I changed my rating on these. Three of them completely lost their shape since the material that keeps the sides rigid is cardboard. I learned this after they would not go back to their original shape and they developed some mold at the bottom of the sides. These should have some kind of a plastic to keep the sides rigid instead of cardboard. I opened them up to see why they lost their shape so I can definitely verify that it is some kind of cardboard. They were great before they came in contact with water, but now they are going in the trash. See the pictures detailing the material.
