We bought this phone for my elderly grandmother, who is visually impaired. She has used a Jitterbug phone for several years, because she was able to use the speed dial function (frequently used contacts were numbered 1-9, the contact associated with each number was written large on a dry erase board that she could see, from there was able to feel for the button she needed). We recently needed to replace her phone, and learned that the model she had previously had been discontinued and replaced with the Jitterbug Lively Flip, which is not equipped with the same speed dial function. Instead, we were told that she would be able to use voice dial by connecting the phone to an Alexa account. Fast forward 6 days, four calls with customer service (one call lasted approximately three hours), and at least 12 hours total of working on setting it up and troubleshooting, consulting with four different family members across two states, and we STILL cannot get the phone to connect to Alexa. Even if we had been able to get it to connect to Alexa and properly linked to the Lively skill in the Alexa app, she would need to remember to say, "Alexa, ask Lively to call..." every time she wanted to make a call. I really cannot think of a less senior-friendly process, start to finish. I don't know why this product would ever be recommended for the elderly. It was a huge mistake to remove the functionality of the touch speed dial. Also, the phone and usage are costly for the product and service. Buyer beware. Definitely do not recommend.
