I have used several different DampRid products. I am quite happy with "Hanging Moisture Absorber" in a closet directly connected to the master bath. I have also had pretty good luck with the "super system" though the goop will harden if you leave it too long. My experience with the big tubs was not stellar. I bought two of them; one was used indoors and the other in my garage. Both of them cracked after a period of time and leaked goop everywhere. It is very unpleasant to clean up and ruins paper. I may have gotten a bad batch that sat too long and the plastic became brittle. Dont know if this is a chronic issue, it happened to 100% of the ones I bought. If you need that much damprid, play it safe and put a little pan / tray underneath it to catch any leakage.
