I bought this even after a very poor quality Amazon brand product last year. Lesson learned, no more Amazon brand items. Although this looked very promising - being glass and stainless steel - the hot water is in full contact with the sloppy ooze of toxic pvc glue that comes up over the center metal plate in the bottom. As if that weren't bad enough, by the third use metal strings/threads had popped up from around that same seam and were just floating in the water. So tired of horrible manufacturing.
