Warning: not only does this product come with the installable files on DVDs, but to run this software you need to have the original DVD in the drive at startup as authorization/copy protection. This is *NOT* like other products; e.g. Adobe media creation apps, where the installable files come on DVDs but the authorization is a text string printed on a piece of paper. In the latter case (Adobe) you can copy the files from the DVDs to a portable hard drive, then install and run the app on a CPU without an optical drive. In this case (X-Plane 11) you can copy the files from the DVDs to a portable hard drive, but you CANNOT install and run the app on a CPU unless it has an optical drive. Bummer!
