★☆☆☆☆
There is sand, or some kind of non-dissolving grit in this salt.
In reading other reviews, I find that others have also noticed the fine, non-salt grit in this product. Pure Sea Salt does NOT contain grit. Apparently it's silicone of some kind, but it is TERRIBLE on foods like eggs, mashed potatoes, scallops. I do NOT want grit in my teeth when eating ANY food. They should mention this additive to their salt in their product description. Since using this salt for a couple of weeks, I have developed intestinal difficulties - a blockage of some sort. I'm very concerned about this, and have a doctor's appointment to see what is causing it. The thought of a pile of sand stuck in my gut is alarming. Redmond? Warn buyers that they are getting something in addition to your pure salt: GRIT. Amazon refunded my money and I'm dumping the salt. Feeling very deceived by this company. Pure means PURE.
