When you first hook it up it works for a day or two and then so intermittent it is totally unreliable! Contacted AMZ and they sent me another one against my better judgement but I let him talk me into it. Worked ideally for about two weeks and then again so intermittent it is just too unreliable! I bought this on the high customer reviews but they have all obviously been salted. I am stuck with it now as it is outside of the return policy. The problem appears to be that the solar and the batteries one or the other are not working properly. I believe that the batteries are outside of their usable purpose and there is no way to change them out. At first I thought I had it too far from the driveway at 20' and then I moved it to within 5'. Did little to help but there was an improvement. If it is an overcast day or after the sun goes down it just does not work. A true waste of money I am so sorry I let the clerk talk me into another replacement. I hope this helps others who are looking at this product.
