Yet Another BOGUS Product! Don't Waste Your Money.
The more I watch "Dr. Oz" touting these various bogus "anit-aging" products on his show, the less and less respect I have for this charlatan! He takes advantage of the overall medical ignorance of his audience of women viewers, while lining his pockets from the quack "experts" hawking their overpriced products on his show!
The product touted here contains a PLANT-derived form of a lipid called PHYTOCERAMIDS. Now this naturally-occuring lipid is produced in abundanced within our skin cells, acting as a "plumper" which fills out and smooths our skin. as we age, the body produces less and less of this vidal ingredient, which results in those thin, wrinkled areas us women HATE (such as our hands, necks, etc.).
The product in question is supposed to replenish the user's natural supply of this vital lipid. Now HERE are the factual, medical reasons why this oral supplement DOES NOT WORK:
1. PLANT-based lipids ARE NOT the same thing as ANIMAL lipids. Their chemical make-ups are NOT compatible. 100% of all the oral suppliments currently for sale are PLANT-based. This means that when you swallow this product, your digestive system does what it does to EVERY plant-based product you eat:it gets digested and most of it passes through your digestive tract INTACT. The same as plant-based roughage does.
2. Like any fat-based product that you ingest-whether animal or vegetable-what fat that your body can actually absorb will be stored exactly WHERE WE SEE IT. If you want to know where, take a quick look at your own body. Yup, there it is...and it's NOT in our hands, face, etc. it's THERE WITHIN your BELLY, THIGHS, etc. Trapped within your FAT CELLS. If CONSUMING lipids (fats) actually plumped out and smoothed our skin then we would get smoother skin by eating a stick of butter every day...and speaking as someone who cooks with butter almost every day of my life I can tell you it DOESN'T work.
3. Lastly, to a small degree our skin can absorb lipids EXTERNALLY applied, because there is no digestive track present to break them down and eliminate them. However, as anyone who always uses skin creams can tell you, the effect is only temporary...at best.
Currently, there is really only ONE truly effective method for re-introducing lipids within our bodies, that is 100% COMPATIBLE with our system and truly DOES what it is supposed to do: replenish our diminished supply of lipids exactly where we need it, smoothing and "plumping out" the skin. Dermatologists have been doing it for quite some years now.
It involves taking a long needle and slowing extracting small amounts of fat from those parts of our bodies where it is stored for "emergency" supply, and injecting that fat directly where the "plumbing" and smoothing is desired: usually the hands and around the upper neck. HOWEVER, as any qualified MD will tell you, the desired effects are TEMPORARY. The body eventually re-absorbs it, and the process has to be repeatedly performed to maintain the desired effects.
Ladies, DON'T BE FOOLED by all those bogus testimonial "users" reviews you read on Amazon.com. It's a fact that companies hire staff writers to write phoney "user reviews" of their products to place on Amazon.com and other online retail stores! This crap no more does what it's touted to do than those Green coffee bean and raspberry ketone pills took a single pound off anyone who used them-despite all those glowing testimonials that glutted Amazon.com a year or so ago. I should know, I got duped into buying them.
