Not Quality, But Access.
The quality of the TCM channel is not in question here. The app's layout and design reflects their high standard. The films offered are a wide array of titles not available on most other movie apps which rely mainly on public domain content. The app being offered free is a bit misdirected, however; sure, the app itself is free, but if you do not already pay for a provider that carries TCM, like Verizon, Xfinity, etc., you will not possess the necessary account information to actually watch any of the content. If the company that provides your Internet access is not on the app's provider list, you are shut out, with a very beautifully designed, but useless app on your device. So though the app is free, the content is NOT. Buyer beware.
