I really wanted to like these shoes! I planned to collect the entire series; all of the shoes look so cute on the Website. Unfortunately my plans were driven to a halt by three factors: 1) The shoes only come in whole sizes. I wear a half-size, and the shoes on either size just didn't work out. 2) The shoes are an incredibly thin canvas. They bent and cave-in where spaces are not filled, so as soon as you take out the padding in the toe you are left with huge dents in the shoe. This makes them appear and feel cheap and sloppy. The shape of the wearer's foot is basically the only structure to this shoe because the material is so thin. 3) They are very uncomfortable. There is basically no padding in the shoe. The ones that I tried on had a very tight fit around the top of the shoe (the border along the top of the foot), so the shoe was cutting into the top of my foot. This hurt. Other complaints I have are that the hole where you buckle the shoe together snags the very first time you try to buckle it up, leaving tiny little threads on the hole. There are no eyelets or anything to keep the whole for the buckle in good condition. This makes it look sloppy, and I'm sure would look very bad with repeated use. The shape of the shoes are slightly non-symmetrical. The left shoe which cut into my foot was actually a little bit farther inward compared with the right shoe. I might be able to blame this on the lack of structure of the shoe; either way, it bothers me that the shoes are not uniform, and it contributes to the discomfort. On the positive side, the colors were vivid and bright as pictured in the images.
