Kindle version 3 or lower will not accept an update to operating system 5 or higher. I have version 4.5.5.2 and that's the latest that it will accept. But OS 5 is required to use Showtime Anytime. Kindle and Showtime need to work together to fix this. I'm sure there are thousands of people who pay for Showtime and have an older Kindle who now can't get the service. Very poor. I bought my Kindle in 2014, so it's not that old. All other apps like HBO work fine.
