Super cheap internal components. Have a look at these pictures I took. You are paying for the nice looking outer case and not much else. Opened up this unit since there was something loose rattling around inside and was surprised to see mostly empty space. This is nothing but your run of the mill surge protector with a few X2 capacitors to reduce interference (which I'm sure works in a lot of situations but not mine). All of the components could easily fit into a small power strip. Turned out that there was a large piece of solder wire inside rattling around. This unit did not get rid of the electrical interference in my sound system so I will be returning it and buying something of higher quality.
