Three of them have died within a year
I'm serious. I've bought three of these within the past year and each died in exactly the same way. The most recent time - today - I was doing some low-RPM sanding that should not have stressed the motor. But the tool became too hot to hold, the telltale smoke appeared, and then it died. Good luck disassembling it - parts pop out at you. I had a Black and Decker for nearly 20 years and it never gave me any trouble. But Dremel's flagship is just plain trash. Yes, they're convenient, but the accessories are all made of cheap plastic and are over-priced. There's are few jobs that a Dremel can do that another tool can't do as well or better. BEWARE - THE 4300 IS TRASH.
