The unit is solid and has a good feel to it. My issues are twofold: 1. The unit would never fully tighten down and has always shifted. As a guy taking a seat for a porcelain journey, there are vital sack-like areas that can get pinched. 2. The finish on the bottom of the seat is porous. What does that mean for you? Well.. when Uncle John comes over after a night of drinking and a lunch of taco supremes, his explosions will leave stains. You will make it worse when you use a sanitizing cleaner as this strips off the paint coating and exposes wood letting go-only-knows what bacteria and stains take over your seat. yeah.. its gross.
