Someone broke into my house, stole my and my wife's car keys, but could find my car in the apartment parking lot, because my car battery was dead. Unfortunately, they did find my wife's car, which we had been using this whole pandemic, as we only needed one car while mostly working from home. So, before getting a new battery installed (and getting my car re-keyed, another story, but dealership failed to do that right too), I also bought this as an added layer of protection. Car was stolen first night after I got it back from the dealership, with this lock around the clutch (I drive a manual), which I made sure it was locked on as tight as possible. I got the car back 5 days later (they caught the guy!), and I was suspecting maybe they sawed my steering wheel, or spent the 45 minutes sawing this lock off.. NOPE! It was sitting completing fine in my passenger seat. The thief picked the lock! DO NOT BUY, the keys are generic flat looking keys, and so easy to pick, you could pick them with a paperclip.
